Lee was born and raised on the shores of the Mediterranean Sea in Kibbutz Gan Shmuel, Israel. There he developed a passion for the freshest produce, magnificent seafood and of course, olive oil. Moving to Los Angeles at the age of 24, he started cooking and was a finalist on Masterchef USA Season 1. He’s been feeding people all across town in restaurants and private events ever since. During this time he witnessed a gap between what was labeled a “healthy” diet and what he knew from his younger years about healthy eating. His company, Mission Olive (www.missionolive.com) was born in order to bridge that gap. His personal mission is to show that truly good & seasonal food is the gateway to a life of physical, mental and emotional well-being.
