A 4th-generation professional cook, Joanne Weir spent five years cooking at Chez Panisse after receiving a Master Chef Diploma with Madeleine Kamman.

Joanne Weir is fourth generation in a long lineage of chefs. An award-winning cookbook author, food writer, cooking teacher, & professional chef she lives in San Francisco, California. She is the host of “Weir Cooking” on PBS. She spent five years cooking with Alice Waters and she is an expert in Mediterranean cuisine, having acquired techniques and palate from on-site travels.
