Gina Zimmer is the Vice President of Marketing & Communications for Restaurant Associates. She started her career at Restaurant Associates in 2001 as the Director of Marketing for the corporate dining and cultural accounts. In 2005, Gina was promoted to Vice President of Marketing where she continued her role and started working more closely with Compass Group and in 2007 she added the role of overseeing Communications to her responsibilities. She oversees all unit promotions, public relations, research and feedback, social media efforts and helping build sales and customer awareness in the RA dining venues. She works closely with the culinary team to develop exciting new programs and has had the opportunity to work on many exciting projects for Restaurant Associates including the greening of the organization and the development of new wellness programs and the opening of such institutions as the US House of Representatives, the US Senate, Harvard Medical School, Google and the New York Times to name a few. Gina sits on the Executive Committee at Restaurant Associates and is also on the Steering Committee for the NY Metro Chapter of the WLN.She graduated from the University of Buffalo with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration. She then wen on to Fordham University graduating in 1995 with a Master’s in Business Administration concentrating in Marketing. After receiving her MBA, she went into the foodservice business working for a foodservice broker as Director of Marketing and then as an Account Executive for a Foodservice Advertising agency working on such brands as Lipton Tea.Gina lives in New Jersey with her husband and two children.
