Garett DiStefano is the Director of Residential Dining and Sustainability for the award winning UMass Amherst Dining. He is passionate about the program success and unwavering in his commitment to UMass Dining’s mission: healthful, sustainable, delicious world cuisine and to build a community around food.
As Director, he is responsible for all operational and service aspects of the University’s $80 million Residential Dining– part of the $120M UMass Auxiliary Enterprises– program including: financial performance, guest satisfaction, and industry leading initiatives. In 2017, The Princeton Review’s Best 381 Colleges ranked UMass #1 Best Campus Food for the second year in a row. The award winning program has 22,000 students on its meal plan and serves 6.0 million meals annually and is the largest campus dining program, by revenue, in the nation.
Garett received his B.A from Union College and his M.B.A from the UMass Isenberg School of Management. He is the regional director for NACUFS Northeast.
