Dan Flynn is executive director of the UC Davis Olive Center, established in 2008 to do for olives what UC Davis did for wine. The self-supporting center is the only one of its kind in the world, working with California growers and processors to elevate quality, efficiency and sustainability. Dan also pursues strategic initiatives as representative for Dean Helene Dillard in the College of Agricultural and Environmental Sciences. Prior to coming to UC Davis Dan was a policy consultant in the California Legislature and operated a small farm in the Sierra Foothills. He has received top awards for his work at UC Davis.
